Hello World Bladers!
As you may have already noticed today, points for Organized Play ranked events played have been updated, and we have updates regarding the World Beyblade Rankings overall!
Back in June, we identified issues affecting World Beyblade Rankings, in particular, slightly incorrect point values for specific events. We worked throughout the last half year to find a fix, though this proved to be a bigger challenge than anticipated.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we worked diligently to try and resolve the issue for the last few months.
In short, a small number of events were having their results processed twice – which are listed below:
We have decided to instead go forward with the processing of the events as they are to clear the backlog of Ranked events and ensure Ranked Play can officially resume. Even in this slightly incorrect state thanks to the bug affected these few events. We believe this is the best outcome for the community at the moment, rather than continued downtime of the service.
We are now processing Burst and MFB events and slowly updating Rankings by month to ensure we catch any other potential issues that arise from processing a large volume of events.
On the topic of Beyblade X, this months-long issue has created delays and thus we do not have an estimate on when that will rollout, or what it will look like in the end. Part of the problem comes from the antiquated MyBB itself, the very foundation of the WBO website for all these years.
In the short term, continue to expect MFB and Burst Organized Play Rankings as they always have been. In the long term, we do expect to add X Ranked, and beyond that find the best options to reshape the way our World Beyblade Ranking works and how Bladers will interact with it.
While we cannot yet give a timeline for when exactly these changes will occur, we will announce updates as they develop to ensure the transition goes smoothly and there are no surprises.
